TEHRAN, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Iran's permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asghar Soltanieh confirmed on Saturday the resumption of talks with the UN nuclear watchdog, semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
On Friday, an IAEA spokesperson announced that experts from the IAEA and Iran will meet on Dec. 13 in Tehran for a new round of talks on Iran's nuclear issue.
The IAEA hopes to reach an agreement with Iran that allows inspectors to investigate possible military aspects of Iran's nuclear program, the Austrian Press Agency reported on Friday.
The most recent talks between the two parties were held in August without any agreement signed.
Iran claims its intention of the nuclear enrichment is peaceful although the West suspects that Iran's nuclear program may aim at producing weapons.
