DAMASCUS, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- An explosive device affixed under a car went off Sunday in a street in the heart of the Syrian capital Damascus, injuring many people, the state-run SANA news agenc said.
SANA said the bomb went off at Arnous Street in central Damascus, adding that the blast left man injuries but without death.
In another district of Damascus, a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt detonated himself at the Rukkin Addien area, injuring four people, SANA said.
Meanwhile, the opposition Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said clashes renewed Sunday at outskirts of Damascus' eastern suburb of Jobar. Clashes also continued in Daraya, Qaboun and Zamalka, which was hit three times by air strikes.
The clashes in the eastern suburbs of Damascus have been raging since last week when the rebel waged attacks to sap the resolve of the government troops that keep strong rein of power on the capital.
