Tehran, Feb 5, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on Tuesday stressed the need to provide suitable opportunities for expansion of Iran-India relations.
In a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Tehran Serio Stava here, Larijani said Tehran-New Delhi political and economic relations are in a good track and the Iranian Majlis favors expansion of mutual relations in various fields, in parliamentary domain in particular.
He said by adopting prudent policies, Tehran and New Delhi should broaden ties at bilateral and regional levels.
The Indian diplomat, for his part, said talks between Iranian and Indian officials on regional issues would be effective.
He said upcoming visit of the Iranian Majlis speaker to India would serve as an important step towards expansion of friendly cooperation.
